Since 1970s, many materials and designs for polymer insulators had appeared in the market. Inappropriate ones for insulators had been selected from the market with the troubles or failures. NGK had carefully investigated such failure situations and also repeated try & error in our development history for polymer insulators. Finally our polymer insulators reached the current materials and design in 1992. Since, they have never failed by quality problems in service.
