NGK Adrec Co., Ltd. (President: Yutaka Ogawa, Head Office: Mitake-cho, Kani-gun, Gifu Pref.), a refractories manufacturing company of NGK INSULATORS, LTD. (President: Masaharu Shibata, Head Office: Nagoya) has successfully acquired ISO 14001, the international certification for environmental management, and received the certificate on July 8, 1998 from JSA ("Japanese Standards Association"), an inspection body.
The registered scope of the certification are all activities relating to development, design, manufacture and service of kiln furniture, castable refractories, and porous products.
NGK has already acquired ISO 14001 certification at its three major domestic manufacturing bases and also has encouraged its domestic and overseas affiliates to pursue ISO 14001 certification.
NGK Adrec Co., is the first company among NGK's affiliates to obtain ISO 14001 certification.
