The sewage sludge in Korea have been disposed by being buried in the land after the water content were reduced; however, due to the shortage of the land and the tightening of environmental regulations, the sludge incinerating system is expected to be diffused. LG Cable & Machinery decided to develop the new business, such as the sludge incinerating by the fluidized bed furnace, as part of its machinery department's reinforcement. After the research and investigation of several companies' systems, LG Cable & Machinery selected NGK as their counterpart. NGK participated in the system development in the early period and also has many actual records of supplying the systems in Japan. NGK also has already exported its technique for the sludge incineration system to England and Germany.
