An insulator fragment brought back
from the U.S. in 1905
"For the country's benefit, not for our own."In 1905, a small piece of an insulator was brought back to Japan from the U.S.A. It has led NGK to make a huge decision - to produce special high voltage insulators at home.
The idea behind our determination at then can still be seen in our corporate philosophy, "NGK products and technologies must create new value and contribute to the quality of life." With this philosophy and our ceramic technologies cultivated through insulator production, NGK's technology will continue to exist forever, creating newer value for people, society and earth.
